September Sunshine « Thread Started on Sept 2, 2007, 9:55pm »
The first weekend in September has always been put aside as a Ravenswood weekend, and this year was no exception.
Friday morning saw half the group gather with lots of new faces present. There was also a large concentration of chrome there too!
Quite a few more riders left later in the day and by sunset, there were 30 odd bikes at the pub.
The road in is a great road for all types of bikes and riders, however it pays to heed the warning signs...
There were goats near the sign above and if you look carefully behind Caths helmet in the following shot, you can just make them out scattering!
Do you like her new Draggin Cammo's? She certainly did!
NB Not wearing the Draggin's in this shot!
The major events on the first night included a modified Kelly Pool competition playing for the huge ammout of $30! Cath had a great night and was the last one to be knocked out of the tournament. I was one of the first casualties!
The other event was a very bad karaoke session which shall go undocumented!
The next day some of us headed out to the burdekin falls dam for a run. This place still stuns me even though I've been there 5 times already. The water level at the dam was lapping at the top of the spillway. That means it is almost at maximum capacity which is 4 times that of Sydney Harbour....
The locals here just hang around enjoying the sunshine!
Later that night the pub put on a big BBQ that my mate Geoff and I cooked. We had a great time cooking for everyone and all in attendance kept plying us with beer to thank us for our efforts. However it all got a bit ugly after the second round of Tequilla shots...

BTW - are you guys up for another get-together?
I can't really commit to anything at the moment Anne... With a new job on the horizon and a house about to get started, social engagements are now a week by week affair.
I'll have a better idea once I know what job I'm getting. If we can coordinate it with you guys, then yes, however I may be out at sea...??
